On this page, we can share model programs that we might be able to emulate. Please add programs!
- Zimbardo's Heroic Imagination Project - features 6 social psychology topics (e.g., the bystander effect) in which social factors influence individual behavior. Each presentation informs the audience with ways to recognize these situations and react in a more constructive manner. While Zimbardo's HIP organization charges for access to these materials, we've used them enough to learn that having students learn and present psychological topics to others can be an excellent service-learning activity and a unique way to share psychology with the lay public. We can certainly develop our own materials and make them available if there is interest.
